“Michael Pollan [is a] distinguished author and designated repository for the nation’s food conscience.” The New York Times

With his trademark clarity, concision and wit, sustainable food movement leader Michael Pollan will explain why eating doesn’t have to be so complicated, as illustrated in his recent book Food Rules – An Eater’s Manual, a pocket compendium of food wisdom for anyone who would like to become more mindful of the food they eat. One of TIME magazine’s “100 most influential people of 2010,” Pollan is the author of the bestsellers In Defense of Food and The Omnivore’s Dilemma. He will be joined in conversation by NPR news anchor and co-host of Morning Edition, Renee Montagne.

Presented by UCSB Arts & Lectures and s’COOL FOOD – an Orfalea Fund Initiative – as part of the Food for Thought event series.

Books will be available for purchase and signing.
